Trigg County's Clay Stevens is the top sixth grade archer in the U.S. after shooting a 291 at the National Archery in Schools World Tournament in Orlando, Florida.
Stevens took second place overall in the Elementary Division with 21 10s or bullseyes. His score was also 13th overall in the male category out of 296 competitors.
In the middle school division, Cole Holland shot a 265 to finish 78th, which was also 213th overall.
For the ladies, sixth grader Kimberlee Shelton shot a 279 to finish in third place out of 209 archers in the elementary division.
Meanwhile, seventh grader Kaila Cunningham finished fourth in the middle school division with a score of 286, which placed her second among all seventh graders.
Sarah Shipley finished ninth overall and sixth among eighth graders, and Elizabeth Wagoner finished 14th overall and seventh among seventh graders. There were 136 archers in the middle school division.
In the high school division, Alexis Wiseman finished seventh out of 105 archers with a score of 286. She was second among all high school juniors.
Shaye Patterson finished 13th overall and fifth among freshmen, while Breanna Messmer was 24th overall and sixth among juniors. Sloane Patterson came in 40th, which was 12th among all juniors.
