Volleyball Tournament moves to semifinal round tonight

The Second Region Volleyball Tournament moves to the semifinal round tonight at Henderson County High School.

Monday, Caldwell County beat Trigg County 25-9, 25-7 to end Trigg's season with a record of 7-16.  Also Monday, Henderson County beat Fort Campbell 25-18, 25-8 to advance, ending the Lady Falcons' season with a record of 17-11.

Last night, Christian County beat Union County 25-13, 25-4 to make their first regionn semifinal appearance in three years.

Casey Castile had 6 kills, 3 aces and 1 assist.

Bailey Joiner had 6 assists, 5 aces, 1 block and 1 kill.

Michelle O'Quinn had 4 aces, 2 blocks and 1 kill.

Kayla Wade had a .923 passing %.

Courtney Baker had 1 kill and 1 ace.

Katie Rogers had 2 aces.

Zatoria Leavell had 1 kill and 1 assist.

Christian County improves to 28-10 and will play Livingston Central, who surprised Madisonville in three sets 25-27, 26-24, 25-16.

In tonight's 6pm semifinal, Caldwell County (32-3) plays Henderson County (19-16).  Caldwell swept the season series from the Lady Colonels.

At 7:15pm, Christian County (28-10) plays Livingston Central (16-14).  The teams did not meet during the regular season.

The championship game will be Thursday night at 7pm.
