Trigg County plays host to the Girls Fourth District Tournament that gets underway tonight at the Trigg County Recreation Complex.
Defending district champion Caldwell County (15-2-1) opens play at 6pm against Crittenden County (0-15), a team they beat 9-0 during the regular season.
The 8pm nightcap has host Trigg County (7-10-1) playing Lyon County (5-8-1) in the other semifinal. Trigg's last win came Sept. 14 over Crittenden County -- a span of eight games. They beat Lyon County 5-1 on Aug. 31 but lost to them 2-1 on Sept. 21.
The championship is Thursday at 5:30pm at the Complex.
Meanwhile, the Third District Tournament also begins tonight at the Stadium of Champions in Hopkinsville.
Christian County (12-6-2) plays Todd County Central (4-14-1) at 7:30pm. The Lady Colonels beat Todd twice in the regular season, winning 4-0 on Aug. 31 and 5-1 Sept. 25 in the Lady Colonel Showcase.
The winner moves into Tuesday's semifinal against Hopkinsville (14-3-1).
The other semifinal has University Heights (10-3-3) facing Fort Campbell (10-8-2). UHA opened the season with an 8-4 win over Fort Campbell but the teams played to a 1-1 tie last Monday.
The championship game will be played Thursday at 5:30pm.
