Union City scored 28 fourth quarter points to hand Trigg County a 42-28 loss in the season opener for both teams Friday night at Perdue Field.
Trigg County couldn't stop Union City fullback Keylon Hyde, who ran the football 41 times for 298 yards and four touchdowns -- three in the fourth quarter.

Stewart was 6-of-9 passing for 68 yards prior to the injury.
Tied at seven at halftime, Trigg County scored the first two touchdowns of the second half in a span of 90 seconds. Deondre Wilson scored on a 41-yard run, and Hakeem Tyler later added a 24-yard run to give the Wildcats a 20-7 lead.

Hyde scored what proved to be the game winner with 46 seconds left on a 22-yard run, capping off a 10-play drive that twice saw the Tornado convert on third down.
Trigg fumbled the ensuing kickoff at their own 25 with 30 seconds left. Union City opted to give Hyde another carry, and he responded with a TD run on the first play to provide a punctuation point to the win.
