Trigg County opened the 2010 volleyball season by splitting their first two games.
The Lady Wildcats beat Hopkins County Central 25-15, 25-10 Thursday night at Wildcat Gym. The win was Trigg's first season opening win in two years and the first for new coach Scott Hill.
Trigg County opened the district portion of their schedule Tuesday night with a 25-22, 24-26, and 22-25 loss to Crittenden County at Wildcat Gym.
The 144 total points scored in the match was the most in a Lady Wildcat game since a three set win over Russellville in 2008.
Trigg County returns to action Thursday night at University Heights Academy in Hopkinsville. It's the first of nine straight road games for the Lady Wildcats.
