Hopkinsville High School senior Justin Hageman was taken by the Kansas City Royals with the fourth pick of the 32nd round of the Major League Baseball Amateur Draft today.
Hageman, a 6-2, 205-pound pitcher, helped lead Hopkinsville to their first region baseball title since 1986 last week. He will put his talent on display next week at the State Baseball Tournament in Lexington when the Tigers open with Daviess County on Tuesday.
Hageman has committed to play baseball in college at Western Kentucky University.
Our prayers are with Justin - Cogratulations on being drafted & bring home a baseball state title to Hopkinsville High. Listen to your parents & ask God for help in all your decisions for the future! We are proud of you & the rest of the TIGER TEAM! God Bless GO CATS!!!
