Christian County won their fourth straight Second Region softball title Thursday night with a 10-0 win over Henderson County at Lady Tiger Field in Hopkinsville.
Christian County jumped out of the gate with eight runs in the first inning, highlighted by two-run homers by Casey Castile and Stacey Harbold.
Hannah Driver added two doubles and picked up the win on the mound, allowing just one hit and sriking out 13.
Christian County improves to 37-4 with the win and will play the Third Region champ, likely Owensboro Catholic, next Friday in the first round of the state tournament in Owensboro.
Named to the All-Region Tournament team were Casey Hayes, Casey Castile, Griffin Joiner, and Hannah Driver from Christian County; Ashley Crooke, Katelyn McMillan, and Amber Pendergraft from Henderson County; Ali Austin and Taylor Crawley from Hopkins County Central; Kayla Moore and Stephanie Rudd from Livingston Cenral; Page Davis from Union County; Sami Jo Quisenberry from Crittenden County; Brooke Randolph from Dawson Springs and Katelyn Lewis from University Heights Academy.
