R.J. Sholar singled home the go-ahead runs, and Jared Stallons pitched effectively in relief as Trigg County came from behind to beat Stewart County, Tenn. 7-6 Wednesday in baseball action at the Complex.
Sholar's RBIs capped a six-run sixth inning that saw the Wildcats erase a 6-1 deficit. Sholar had four hits and two RBIs on the day, while Stallons and David Wease each had a pair of hits to highlight a 13-hit attack. Zack Bridges added an RBI double in the sixth inning.
Stallons pitched the final two innings, striking out two and picking up the win.
The Wildcats improve to 9-12 on the season, while Stewart County falls to 5-9.
Trigg County returns to action Friday in a district game at Lyon County.
