Old friends renew their rivalry tonight at Tiger Gym as Hopkinsville and Christian County meet for the 19th time with a district title on the line.
Christian County (25-4) beat Hopkinsville (21-7) twice during the season, 77-67 on Jan. 18 and 86-74 on Feb. 1.
Hopkinsville's last district title came in 2004, while Christian County has won three of the last four 8th District titles. Christian County is 14-4 against Hoptown in district title games and have won nine of the last 10 against the Tigers with district hardware on the line.
They will tip it off at 8pm tonight at Tiger Gym.
At 6pm, the girls' 8th District title will be played between Hoptown (15-8) and Christian County (13-14). The Lady Colonels have won nine straight district titles and swept the season series with Hoptown.
Overall, Christian County has won 20 district titles, and Hoptown has claimed eight.
In the Fifth District tonight, Lyon County (20-5) and Livingston Central (11-11) meet for the boys district title for the second time in three years. Livingston is looking for their first district title in 16 years.

In the Seventh District, Madisonville and Hopkins County Central meet for the boys district title at 8pm. Madisonville's girls and Caldwell County's girls play for the title at 6pm at Hopkins Central High School.
In the Sixth District at Union County, Henderson County and Webster County meet for the gals' district title tonight.
