In a move that shocked no one, Kentucky football coach Rich Brooks announced his retirement at a press conference this morning in Lexington.
Brooks was 39-47 in seven seasons at Kentucky and led the Wildcats to four straight bowl games, winning three. Kentucky was 7-6 in 2009, losing to Clemson in the Music City Bowl. In 25 seasons as a college head coach, Brooks was 130-156-4.
Offensive coordinator Joker Phillips will be the new head coach of the Wildcats.
