Fort Campbell quarterback Antonio Andrews has been named Kentucky Mr. Football.
The award is given by the Associated Press based on voting by a statewide panel of AP media members. Other finalists for the award were Boyle County's Rees MacShara, Mayfield's Xavier Shelton, and Simon Kenton's Miles Simpson.
Andrews threw for 1,667 yards and 28 touchdowns and ran for 1,597 yards and 28 TDs in leading Fort Campbell to their third straight Class 2A state title. Andrews was 29-0 as a starting quarterback the past two seasons.
Andrews is the second Mr. Football winner from Fort Campbell, joining Micah Johnson who won the award in 2005.
