Christian County football coach Steve Lovelace has been named the Class 5A, District 1 coach of the year based on voting by the Kentucky Football Coaches Association.
Owensboro quarterback Kal Prince was named the District 1 player of the year.
Fort Campbell quarterback Antonio Andrews was named the Class 2A, District 2 player of the year, while Falcon head coach Shawn Berner was named coach of the year.
Murray's Brandon Wicks was named the Class 2A, District 1 player of the year, while Tiger head coach Steve Duncan was named coach of the year.
In Class 1A, Mayfield's Xavier Shelton was named the District 1 player of the year, while Cardinal head coach Joe Morris was named coach of the year.
In Class 3A, McLean County running back Spencer Phillips was named District 1 player of the year, while Union County's Steve Carter was named coach of the year.
In Class 4A, Lone Oak quarter back Cameron Looper was named District 1 player of the year, while his coach Jack Haskins was named coach of the year.
In Class 6A, Henderson County's Dean Wathen was named District 1 player of the year, while Graves County's Lance Gregory was named coach of the year.
All of the statewide winners will be recognized at the state football finals next week in Bowling Green.
