Erin Lane scored a hat trick to lead Owensboro Catholic past Trigg County 5-4 in girls' soccer action Tuesday at the Complex.
Trigg County fell to 3-2 with the loss and will visit Reidland Thursday. Owensboro Catholic improved to 5-3-1 with the win. It was the first-ever game between the two schools.
No other information was available.
Owensboro Catholic also won the JV game 4-1. Lauren Frazier scored Trigg's lone goal.
In other girls' soccer action from Tuesday:
- Hopkinsville shut out Fort Campbell 8-0 behind two goals each from Lexie Bozell and Hannah Snyder. Payton Bucko, Bennett Peck, Hunter Neel, and Brittany Kinnard each scored a goal for the Lady Tigers, and Anjel Grajales and Peck each had an assist. Hopkinsville also won the JV game 7-0 behind four goals from Kelsey Humphries and two from Rachel Fuller. Hopkinsville (5-3) will travel to Caldwell County Thursday.
- Caldwell County suffered their first loss of the season with a 5-1 setback at Apollo. The Lady Tigers are now 5-1 on the season.
- University Heights Academy got a 6-0 road win at Reidland. Jeri Beth Higgins and Eden Mack each scored two goals for UHA, who remain unbeaten with a 6-0 record. Katherine Settle and Shelby Martin each scored a game, and Higgins had an assist. Layton Atwood notched the shut out in goal for the Lady Blazers. UHA also won the JV game 8-0 behind four goals from Sally Morse. Carson Bryant got the shutout in goal. UHA will host Hopkins County Central Thursday.
- Mayfield beat Lyon County 3-1, and Warren East edged Todd County Central 3-2.
