Tyler Mitchell finishes 12th at Kentucky State Amateur

Tyler Mitchell of Cadiz trimmed one shot off his first round score and finished in 12th place in the rain-shortened Kentucky State Amateur Golf Championship in Nicholasville.

Mitchell followed his first round 73 with a 72, which was eight shots behind the winner, Jordan Blann of Bowling Green.

Mitchell will be a sophomore this year at the University of Charlotte.
