KABC hands out awards

The Kentucky Association of Basketball Coaches has given out their awards for players and coaches of the year in the Second Region.

Lyon County's Jeff Embrey and Hopkins County Central's Matt Bell shared boys coach of the year honors for the region, while Stephanie Crick was named girls region coach of the year.

Henderson County's Alyse Poindexter was named girls player of the year, while Madisonville's Jon Hood was named boys region player of the year.

In addition to providing daily sports news on this blog, he broadcasts high school football, basketball, and baseball games on WKDZ and WHVO.
