Trigg County scored their largest margin of victory in two years with a 63-32 win over Reidland Monday night at Wildcat Gym. The win snapped a three-game losing streak and ran Trigg's record to 6-13.
The Lady Wildcats used a 15-0 first half run to take control of the game and eventually led by as many as 31 points in the fourth quarter. Reidland (3-14) was playing their first game in three weeks because of the recent bad weather.
Janada Acree scored 18 points and pulled down a season-high 22 rebounds. She had 16 rebounds in the first half. She missed Christy Samsil's school record for rebounds in a game by five.
Morgan Parker came off the bench to score nine points and grab eight rebounds. Audrey Futrell and Trinity Wortham each scored eight points.
Trigg County outrebounded Reidland 57-22 and scored 25 points off 20 Reidland turnovers.
Aimee Beasley scored 12 points to pace Reidland.
Trigg County will play at St. Mary Tuesday night at 6pm in a varsity game only.
