Bradley Davis hit a go-ahead 3-pointer with nine seconds left, and Dustin White had a key steal on the inbounds pass to help lift Trigg County to a 63-60 win over Livingston Central Friday night in Smithland.
Trigg County trailed by 10 points at the start of the second quarter before using a 14-4 run to get back into the game. Jonathon King had six points in the quarter, and Jalik Alexander had five points as the Wildcats trailed by one at halftime 30-29.
With the game tied at 44-44 after three quarters, both teams went back and forth in a fourth quarter that featured three ties and six lead changes.
A key moment came when Livingston Central's Tait Smith fouled out with 3:41 left and the game tied at 52. Smith had 21 points and eight rebounds and was proving tough for the Wildcats to defend inside.
Down 60-59, Davis hit the game-winning trey from the right wing with nine seconds left to put Trigg up two.
Davis hit four 3-pointers and finished with 14 points. King had 20 for Trigg County to go with 13 rebounds.
Trigg County finishes district play with a record of 4-2, while Livingston falls into a third place tie with Crittenden County with a record of 1-5.
