Livingston Central (girls) and Lyon County (boys) won the Fifth District JV Basketball Tournaments held Saturday at Wildcat Gym.
Livingston Central beat Trigg County 39-25 in the title game, using a 13-2 second quarter run to put the game in hand.
Stephanie Rudd led Livingston Central with 10 points.
Trigg County got 14 points from Elysia Brown, and three points each from Ashley Matlock and Morgan Parker.
"We played a tough game, just to many missed layups, and shooting 4 for 18 from the free throw line cost us," said JV head coach Matt Wilder. "I am very proud of the girls for making it to the championship game. They did Trigg County Girls Basketball proud."
In the semifinal game, Trigg County beat Crittenden County 39-34.
Matlock had 12 points, while Alyssa Maxey scored nine, and Abigail Torian scored eight.
Jessi Hodge and Kari Buntin each scored seven points for Crittenden County.
"We trailed after the first quarter and never trailed again. Di'Asia Huyghue played outstanding defense in the game," Wilder said. "This was a huge win for the girls and a great follow up to our varsity win against Lyon County Friday night."
For the guys, Lyon County beat Trigg County in overtime 39-36 in one semifinal to advance to the title game.
Trigg outscored Lyon 11-8 in the fourth quarter to send the game to overtime.
Blake Mitchell led Trigg County with eight points, and Nick Watkins added seven.
Casey Kinnis led Lyon County with 12 points.
Crittenden County beat Livingston Central 48-40 in the other semifinal, but lost to Lyon County in overtime in the championship game.
