Trigg County bounced back from a tough loss to Crittenden County with a straight set win at Todd County Central Thursday night 25-23, 25-12.
The Lady Wildcats improved their record to 2-1 on the season. They will play in the McLean County Invitational this weekend. Other teams in the tournament include Caldwell County, Union County, Todd County Central, Muhlenberg North, Hopkins County Central, and host McLean County.
Trigg County's JV team ran their record to 3-0 on the season with a 21-13, 21-16 win over Todd County.
In other volleyball action:
- Christian County lost to Fort Campbell 25-17, 18-25, 24-26 on Thursday to see their record drop to 4-6 on the season. They will play at Christian Fellowship next Thursday. The JV won 25-17, 25-20. Anna Benjamin lead Fort Campbell with 6 aces and 15 assists, while Jordan Brower had 2 kills and Stephanie Medina led the team in kills with 6. Annabell Garcia had a great defensive game with 13 service receptions and no errors. Kayleigh Faulkner had 2 kills.
- Christian County will host a JV tournament Saturday, with Russellville, Muhlenberg South, and the Lady Colonel freshmen taking part. Matches begin at 9am.
- Heritage Christian Academy beat Pioneer Christian of Nashville 19-25, 25-21, 21-25, 25-23, 15-10 to improve their record to 2-1. Abby Weatherford had an amazing 43 assists on the night, while Katy Ward had 27 points off serves, and Ray Decoursey added 12. Alden Gray abd Lauren Sloan each had six kills. HCA is in action again today at home against Anchord of Bowling Green.
- Caldwell County beat Livingston Central 25-20, 25-8 to run their record to 3-1 on the season.
