The Trigg County 9-10 year-old All-Star baseball team took second place last week in a tournament in Hanson.
Trigg played four games on Saturday, losing to Henderson County 10-4 in the championship game. Brandon Schafer had a double for Trigg, while Ethan Dossett, Zack Colbert, Reid Kuberski, and Brandon Wilson each had singles.
In pool play, Trigg beat Henderson County 14-1 and beat Dawson Springs 12-3.
On Friday, they lost to Webster County 11-10 in eight innings. Will Allen, Matt Skinner, Colbert, Schafer, and Dossett each had hits for Trigg.
Trigg beat Dawson Springs again on Saturday by an 11-1 score. Schafer, Skinner, Kuberski, Colbert, and Wilson each had doubles for Trigg County.
Trigg bounced back for a 16-6 win over Webster County as Schafer had two hits for Trigg.
Trigg advanced to the championship game with a 15-5 win over Madisonville. Jackson Vinson walked three times, and Matt Skinner, Reid Kuberski, Will Allen, Brandon Wilson, and Tyreke Wilson each ahd doubles.
The All-Stars are coached by Kevin Allen, Tommy Allen, Kevin Terrell, and Perry Alexander.
