Trigg County opens their 2008 girls' soccer season Saturday at home against University Heights. The game at the Complex is set to begin at 11:30 with the JV game at 10am.

In action from Thursday:
- UHA ran their record to 2-0 on the young season with a 6-1 win over Christian County at UHA. Sara Allen scored the hat trick as the Lady Blazers scored five first half goals. Freshman Eden Mack added two goals, and Shelby Martin scored a first half goal. Christian County falls to 0-1-1 with the loss.
- Bennett Peck scored four goals and added four assists as Hopkinsville crushed Todd County Central 10-0 -- their second consecutive 10-0 shut out. Payton Bucko added three goals and an assist, and Christine Soldo had two goals. Corrinna Kinnard scored the shut out in goal for the Lady Tigers, who also won the JV game 5-0 behind a hat trick from Lexie Bozell. Hoptown (2-0) hosts Christian County Tuesday.
