Kim Colbert has been named the new Trigg County girls' volleyball coach.
The 24-year-old Colbert has been coaching club volleyball in Hammond, Indiana for the past few years and says she is ready for the challenge of her first high school job.
Colbert also played college volleyball in Hammond.
She has already met with the prospective team and will be hosting a camp June 16-18.
Colbert replaces Rick Erickson, who was 61-99 in five seasons as Lady Wildcat head coach. Erickson resigned after last year and later took the head coaching job at Christian County.
The Lady Wildcats were 11-23 last year and are slated to return four starters from that team.
