Hopkinsville scored a run in the bottom of the sixth inning to beat Trigg County 7-6 Saturday afternoon at Tiger Stadium.
Trigg outhit Hoptown 8-6 but left seven runners on base.
The Wildcats scored two runs in the first inning on an RBI double by Will Stagner and an RBI single by Jamey Guinn.
After Hoptown scored a run in their half of the first, Trigg scored two more runs in the second on a two-run double by Stagner.
Jordan P'Pool belted a two-run homer in the fourth inning to round out the Wildcat scoring.
Jon Ed Cessna picked up the pitching win for Hoptown.
Hunter Smilie took the loss, allowing six hits in six innings, walking four and striking out three.
