Tennessee Titans cornerback Cortland Finnegan will headline the Tennessee Titans caravan stop at WKDZ Wednesday at 11am. Finnegan, Titans' play by play announcer Mike Keith, and Titan mascot T-Rac will be on hand to sign autographs and pose for pictures.
Finnegan was a seventh round pick of the Titans in the 2006 draft out of Samford. He burst into the starting lineup and was part of the improved secondary last year.
Finnegan will be joined by former Titan receiver Kevin Dyson in later stops Wednesday in Clarksville and Madison. The caravan makes a stop today in Princeton at 3:30pm at King's Great Buys Plus. Titan lineman Jake Scott and former Titan tight end Frank Wycheck will make the stop in Princeton.
Last year, hundreds turned out at WKDZ to greet the caravan, headlined by Keith Bulluck and Robert Reynolds.
Titans Caravan 2008 will make a total of 50 stops over a span of 11 travel days. During the last decade, the Caravan has totaled over 530 stops, traveled approximately 45,000 miles, visited nearly 200 schools and shaken hands with over 100,000 fans. The number of autographs signed and pictures taken is estimated to be in the hundreds of thousands.
Titans Caravan began in 1998 as a small effort to spread goodwill through the region. The current Caravan includes six full-time staffers that travel with Titans players, broadcasters and T-Rac throughout the Mid-South on a specially-decorated motor coach from Premiere Transportation.
