University Heights used a 10-0 second quarter run take control and beat Trigg County 86-72 Monday night at Wildcat Gym.
The 10-0 run turned a 38-33 lead into a 48-33 lead right before intermission.
UHA extended their lead to 21 points in the fourth quarter before the Wildcats chipped away at the end.
Jonathon King scored 26 points and added six rebounds to lead the Wildcats, while Shelton Burress added 14 points, and Jalik Alexander scored 10 points and had four assists. Dustin White added nine points and nine rebounds.
Scotty Hopson led UHA (24-4) with 27 points and seven rebounds. DaQuan Brown added 18 points, and Ty Edmonson had 13 points and eight assists.
The Blazers shot 50-percent from the field, but Trigg outrebounded UHA 37-34.
Trigg County fell to 10-13 with their eighth straight loss to UHA, who leads the all-time series 13-5.

The Wildcats return to action tonight in the first part of a boys/girls doubleheader against Todd County at Wildcat Gym.
