Trigg County claimed the JV District basketball title Saturday with a 38-28 win over Lyon County in the championship game.
The Wildcats trailed 8-6 after one quarter but outscored Lyon 14-7 in the second quarter for a 20-15 halftime lead. They outscored Lyon 14-8 in the final frame for the win.
Bradley Davis scored 12 points for Trigg, while Javin Grubbs added 11 points, and Josh Adams scored eight.
In the opener, Trigg County overcame a 17-9 first quarter deficit to beat Livingston Central 45-40. Javin Grubbs scored 11 points for Trigg, while Dustin White added eight points, and Josh Adams scored six.
Grubbs, Adams, and White were all named to the All-Tournament team.
Trigg's JV team is now 5-3 on the season.
