Trigg County left the Lady Tiger Cracker Barrel Classic winless after falling to Heath 59-47 in the seventh place game Saturday afternoon in Murray.
Head coach Amy Breckel obviously isn't pleased with what she has been seeing and benched her normal starters in favor of Morgan Parker, Keisha Stewart, Karlie Stewart, Abigail Torian, and Amanda Want.
Keisha Stewart responded with her best game of the season with nine points, six rebounds, and two steals in 22 minutes of action.
The Lady Wildcats fell behind 17-5 after one quarter and then played Heath even the rest of the way. But poor shooting in the first half (5-of-24) made the hole a hard one to dig out of in the second half.
Janada Acree led Trigg with 11 points and five rebounds. Dori Sheehan and Brooke Kearney each scored eight points.
Chelsey Chambers came off the Heath bench to score 16 points, and Emily Kodman added 12 points and 12 rebounds, part of a 43-28 advantage on the boards for the Lady Pirates.
Heath (3-9) finished in seventh place at Trigg County's 12 Games of Christmas last week and again at the Murray Lady Tiger Classic this week.
The game was the first between Heath and Trigg County since the 2000 season, with Heath leading the all-time series 3-0.
Trigg County will enter the new year with a record of 1-10 and will host Crittenden County as part of a district doubleheader Friday.
