After going 2-3 at the West Kentucky Smackdown Saturday, Trigg County won their third straight game Monday night with a 25-18, 25-16 win at Hopkinsville in a late scheduled game.
Trigg County is now 6-8 on the season and the three-game winning streak is their longest since a four-game winning streak in 2005.
Over the weekend, Trigg County won the Bronze Division consolation bracket of the West Kentucky Smackdown, held at Hopkinsville and Christian County.
Trigg opened with a 12-21, 23-21, 15-17 loss to McLean County, followed by a 21-8, 21-12 loss to Whitesville Trinity.
Trigg lost to Todd County Central 16-21, 21-16, 12-15 in the cross-over game that dropped them to the Bronze Division consolation bracket.
There, they beat Clarksville Northwest 25-20, 25-20 and downed Russellville 25-17, 24-26, 25-10 to finish the tournament with two wins.
Whitesville Trinity beat Caldwell County in three games to win the 12-team event.
