Trigg County was five minutes away from their third win of the year before Hopkins Central scored a late goal to tie the game at 2-2, which is how it ended.
Trigg's record is now 2-4-1 on the season, while Hopkins County Central is 1-6-1.
"The usual problems of missed shots and defensive lapses hurt us again," said Wildcat head coach Josh Nichols. "We didn't necessarily play badly, but when the time came to put the ball in the net we didn't do it."
Jeremy Stamps scored Trigg's first goal off an assist from Joel Ben Thomas. Ronnie Weeks fed Trevor Harper for the Wildcats' second goal of the night.
The tie with the Storm was the fourth in 14 career meetings. Trigg has won nine of the 14.
Trigg County's JV team won 2-0 when Devon Wharton scored off an assist from Colten Bridges, and Blaine Alexander scored unassisted.
Trigg returns to action Tuesday night against Muhlenberg North (4-2-1) at the Complex in a 7:30pm matchup.
