Marty Jaggers is not a happy man

Marty Jaggers thought a verbal agreement was enough to finish out his 2007 Mercer County football schedule.

According to a story in the Danville Advocate Messenger, Jaggers and Somerset head coach Jay Cobb had verbally agreed to play each other in week two. Of course, Jaggers and the rest of Mercer County was shocked to read where Somerset was instead going to play Metcalfe County the same weekend. 

That leaves Mercer County with nine games instead of the normal 10.

It's been an interesting and bizarre summer for Cobb, who resigned at Somerset to take the Henderson County coaching job.  He changed his mind a couple of days later and returned to Somerset.  Now this.

The same can be said for Jaggers, the former TCHS quarterback, who was a little upset when his alma mater didn't offer him an interview for the head coaching job earlier in the spring.  Then, a jump from Class 2A to 5A football, and now this.
