Eight different players had hits as Trigg County won their first game of the year Thursday with an 11-4 win at Todd County Central. It was Trigg's first win in Elkton in four games dating back to 2003.
Caleb Reynolds went 4-for-5 with a solo home run, and Donald Bush and John David Fourqurean each had two hits. Fourqurean also had two RBIs.
Lucas Riddle had a bases-clearing double in the third inning that was part of a four-run inning that gave the Wildcats a 5-0 lead.
Will Stagner, Ryan Eubanks, Tyler Greenman, and Drew Pool also contributed hits to the 13-hit Trigg attack.
Tony Finley pitched the first 3-and-a-third innings, giving up three hits and striking out four. Donald Bush relieved Finley and allowed just two hits in 3-and-two-thirds innings. He struck out five.
