Despite not playing with their leading scorer, Trigg County used a monster night from sophomore Jonathon King to win their second game in three outings -- a 64-55 win over Fort Campbell Tuesday night at Wildcat Gym.
King scored 25 points and grabbed a career-high 17 rebounds as the Wildcats improved to 8-15 on the season. Zeke Wright added 12 points, Zack Wright scored nine, and Jalik Alexander added six points and six rebounds.
Trigg played without leading Rodney Davis, who is nursing an ankle injury suffered late in the Saturday loss to University Heights.
Toron Thomas and Brandon Ward each scored 17 for Fort Campbell, who dropped to 6-15 with the loss.
Trigg County could have won by more had they did a better job at the free throw line, hitting 25-of-46.
The Wildcats return to action Friday at home against Caldwell County in a 6pm contest.
