From the "Things you find when you Google" Department.
A few months back, I was googling Hopkinsville and came across the link where a former TV-43 sports anchor (John Barr) was now working for ESPN as a reporter.
Looking for something totally different over the weekend, I came across another nugget of information that is once again related to TV-43.
Bob Baffert has trained Kentucky Derby winners Silver Charm (1997), Real Quiet (1998), and War Emblem (2002) as well as three Breeders' Cup races.
Baffert's wife is Jill Moss, a former TV anchorwoman in Louisville (where they met), who began her newscasting career at...you guessed it...TV-43 in Hopkinsville.
In fact, I came across a video clip of Moss from YouTube.com in case you don't remember who she is. This clip was from a 1996 newscast on TV-43.
It's not really newsworthy, but I thought it was an interesting connection.
If you ever play Six Degrees of Bob Baffert and have to connect him to Hopkinsville, you have the winner right here.
