Trigg County begins their second and final trip through the district schedule tonight when they play a district doubleheader at Livingston Central.
The Lady Wildcats play the first game in a 6pm matchup with the Lady Cardinals.
Trigg County is 4-10 overall and 1-2 in the district. The Lady Wildcats beat Fulton City 58-49 Saturday night.
Livingston Central is 8-6 overall and 2-2 in district play. The Lady Cardinals last played Friday night, losing to Lyon County 45-33.
These teams met Dec. 12 with Livingston Central winning 73-40. The Lady Cardinals jumped out to a 28-6 lead after one quarter and forced 44 Trigg turnovers, which will obviously be a key for the Lady Wildcats once again tonight.
Livingston Central leads the all-time series with Trigg 40-35 and have won five straight games over the Lady Wildcats.
In the 7:30pm nightcap, Trigg County faces a nearly must-win situation if they want to keep their chances at the district's top seed alive.
The Wildcats are 4-9 overall and 1-2 in district play, while Livingston Central is 6-6 overall and leading the district with a 3-1 record. Their only loss came to the Wildcats 69-55 Dec. 12 in Cadiz.
Trigg trailed 32-30 at halftime before outscoring the Cardinals 23-13 in the third quarter. Trigg was helped by 57-percent shooting from the field as Rodney Davis led the way with 28 points.
Livingston Central has won two straight games, including a 68-61 win over Fort Campbell Monday night.
Trigg County leads the all-time series with the Cardinals 58-49 and have won 13 straight games over Livingston dating back to 2001.
