Trigg County has a shot to even their record at .500 with a successful run at the Marion Holiday Tournament this week.
The Wildcats enter the tournament with a 2-5 record and will try and put an end to a two-game losing streak.
Trigg opens play tonight at 8:30pm against Springfield Sacred Heart-Griffin. The Cyclones enter tonight's game with a record of 1-6, getting their first win of the season in overtime Saturday. The Wildcats will have to find a way to contain SHG sophomore Steve Hott, who scored 24 points in the Cyclone win Saturday. Hott leads the Cyclones in scoring at 12.4 points a game, followed by senior Todd Lucas (9.0) and senior Mike Edwards (8.2).
Trigg is making their third appearance in the Marion Holiday Tournament and is 0-2 against the Cyclones, losing 76-69 in overtime in 2003 and 51-46 in 2004.
There will be no radio coverage of Trigg County in the Marion Holiday Tournament.
