Trigg County finished in third place in the Silver Medal Round of the Trigg County SlamFest Saturday and finished the day with a 2-2 record.
Trigg County started pool play by beating Russellville (4-15) 25-19, 25-10 before falling to McLean County (10-3) 14-25, 14-25.
Trigg then lost to Christian County (4-4) 17-25, 21-25. Trigg then ended their day by defeating Montgomery Central, Tenn. 25-17, 17-25, 25-17.
Casey Bansiter had 17 assists, 8 aces and 6 kills.
Molly Thompson had 20 aces, 12 blocks and 6 kills.
Kalesha Williams had 16 kills, 11 aces, 10 blocks and 2 assists.
Samantha Harper had 11 assists.
Stacy Schoneman had 7 kills, 2 aces and 2 assists.
Kassy Davis had 3 aces and 1 assist.
Keisha Stewart had 3 kills and 1 ace.
Morgan Parker had 2 blocks.
Mariah Calhoun had 1 kill.
Cally Felton had 1 ace.
Amber P'Pool had 1 kill.
Courtney Oliver had 1 ace.
"We experimented with three different line-ups in the four games we played. I feel we have found one or two that will help our team to compete and play well the remainder of the year," said Lady Wildcat head coach Rick Erickson.
Trigg is now 5-10 on the season and will play at Crittenden County Monday in a key district matchup that will have major implications on seeding for the district tournament.
