Trigg County improved to 2-0 on the season with a 21-2 win over Franklin-Simpson in the Pigskin Classic Saturday in Franklin. HERE is a game recap from the Bowling Green Daily News.

- Scotty Mayes was named the game's MVP, rushing for 97 yards on 17 carries.
- Trigg County outgained F-S 170-90, holding the F-S offense to 21 yards in the second half.
- F-S fumbled eight times, losing four. Devin Herndon recovered two fumbles.
- Trigg's win over F-S was their first since 1949 when Tom Johnson was the Wildcat head coach.
- Trigg was penalized ten times for 85 yards. F-S had seven flags for 45 yards.
