Trigg County got their first win over Hopkinsville in the seven-year history of their volleyball program Tuesday night, knocking off the Lady Tigers 25-23, 25-14.
Stacy Schoneman had 5 kills and 5 aces, and in the second game she served 9 straight points, including four aces.
Kalesha Williams had 5 kills and 1 block.
Casey Banister had 11 assists and 2 aces.
Molly Thompson had 1 kill, 3 blocks and 4 aces (last 2 points of 2nd game were aces).
Keisha Stewart had 3 kills, 1 block and 3 aces.
Courtney Oliver and Samantha Harper gained their first varsity aces.
The varsity record is now 3-6, and the Lady Wildcats return to action Thursday at defending region champion Madisonville.
In the JV game, Trigg won 21-12, 21-17.
