Thomas Rhett Visits With Carrie on 106.5 WKDZ

On Monday, April 30th, 2012, Singer/Songwriter Thomas Rhett spoke with Carrie on 106.5 WKDZ. Thomas, the son of Country Star, Rhett Akins, will be opening for Erich Church along with Lee Brice on Friday, May 4th, 2012 at the CFSB Center in Murray. Thomas talked about his new single "Something To Do With My Hands" and writing country music.

Local Children's Author Visits With Carrie McGinnis on 106.5 WKDZ About A Very Special Book

Trigg County native Sara Jane Ginn Arnett based her new children's book, "My Daddy's a Soldier," on personal experience. Come August, she and her three young boys will be facing her husband Sam's third, year-long deployment. She has come home as part of a book-signing tour and stopped in on Wednesday April 25th, 2012, to talk with WKDZ's Carrie McGinnis about why a resource like this is so critical for the well-being of our military children.
