Trigg swimmers finish strong at region meet
Trigg County's John Reinick became the first Wildcat swimmer to post a top 10 finish at the Region I Meet Saturday in Owensboro.
Reinick finished eighth in the 100-yard breaststroke in a time of 1:10.14, which was eight seconds behind the winner.
The boys' 200-yard medley relay team of John Reinick, Lev Lewis, Garrett Clark, and Chris Jenkins finished 12th in a time of 2:05.90. The foursome also finished 13th in the 200-yard freestyle relay in a time of 1:47.48.
Lev Lewis was 23rd in the 50-yard freestyle in a time of 26.58 seconds. Garrett Clark was 46th in a time of 29.54.
Lewis was also 25th in the 100-yard freestyle in a time of 1:02.62. Clark as 43rd in a time of 1:08.14.
John Reinick finished 24th in the 200-yard freestyle in a time of 2:15.95.
Chris Jenkins finished 26th in the 200-yard IM in a time of 3:02.03
For the girls, Gillian Rogers was 20th in the 50-yard freestyle in 29.28 seconds. Macey Dailey was 56th in 35.55, and Erin Reinick was 68th in 39.06.
Ashley Wigand finished 23rd in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:27.89), while Erin Reinick was 45th (1:44.40).
In the 100-yard freestyle, Courtney Harrison was 43rd in a time of 1:12.73 and Macey Dailey was 70th in 1:21.63.
Harrison finished 46th in the 100-yard backstroke in 1:28.89
200 yard medley relay team of Courtney Harrison, Erin Reinick, Gillian Rogers, and Ashley Wiegand finished 19th in a time of 2:30.99.
The 200-yard freestyle team of Harrison, Wigand, Dailey, and Rogers was also 19th in a time of 2:11.05.
