College Football Bowl Projections

With less than a month left in the regular season, college football teams are trying to get into solid position for bowl bids.

Where will Kentucky and Louisville land?  Here are some bowl game projections from three websites.  Most feel Kentucky will play in Tennessee -- either Liberty or Music City.

Louisville is another story altogether.

Jeffrey Adams is big on film too!

Adams2Louisville offensive lineman Jeffrey Adams got his first taste of the Kentucky/Louisville rivalry Saturday in Lexington.  The former Trigg County standout went through the pregame drills and shows he's not starving while away from home.  Thanks to Todd Griffin of the Princeton Times-Leader for sending the pic.

Louisville vs. Murray State

Louisville_helmet_lrMurray_state_helmetLouisville kicks off the Steve Kragthorpe era as they host Murray State Thursday night at Papa Johns Cardinal Stadium.

The Cardinals are ranked anywhere from sixth to 12th in the preseason college football polls.

Jeff Adams is listed as second string right offensive tackle behind senior Breno Giacomini.  Adams has also worked out at the guard spot.

If you have ESPNU on your dish, you'll get to see Thursday's game.

Cardinals grace the cover of ESPN the Mag

EspnI went to the mailbox to get my ESPN the Magazine and was greeted by three Louisville Cardinals on the cover.  The coverboys are receivers Mario Urrutia and Harry Douglas and quarterback Brian Brohm.

That trio may be the deadliest in college football today and will no doubt put up huge numbers in 2007.

A nice article on the Cards inside also.

Jeff Adams and the X-Box

Ncaa08Jeff Adams is up to second string right guard at the University of Louisville.  The 6-8, 300-pound redshirt freshman from Trigg County began the spring at right tackle, but injuries at the right guard spot forced the shift behind sophomore Mike Donoghue, according to the Louisville Courier-Journal, who pretty much called the right guard spot the weakest on the Cardinal line.

While the bump to second string is good news, Adams found out some more good news last week.  He's on a video game.

Jeff called home last week to tell his parents that his likeness is on the NCAA '08 video game by EA Sports.  The video game, which makes you feel like you're part of the action (both playing and coaching), hit the shelves recently.

Jeff and the rest of the Louisville Cardinals hit the real field Aug. 30 when they name their score against Murray State at Papa John's Stadium.

Louisville to open 2007 football season with Murray State

Louisville_helmet_lr_9New Louisville head football coach Steve Kragthorpe will make his Cardinal debut against Murray State Aug. 30 at Papa Johns Stadium.

For Murray's sake, I hope the paycheck is a big one.
