Madisonville 51 Lyon County 36

Lyon County couldn't overcome cold shooting from the field and fell to Madisonville 51-36 in the first round of the Boys Second Region Tournament at Hopkinsville.

The Lyons hit just 25-percent from the field -- 7-of-28 in both halves and were outscored 32-12 in the paint.

Jericho Wilkerson led Lyon County with 14 points and 12 rebounds. Jordan Gary added nine points for the Lyons, whose season ends at 15-17.

Madisonville got 19 second chance points and outrebounded Lyon 47-37. Ross Thomas had 14 points and 15 rebounds for the Maroons (18-12). Jaiveon Eaves came off the bench to score 11 points and grab seven rebounds.

Madisonville moves into Friday's semifinal where they will play Hopkinsville in a rematch of last year's region title game won by the Tigers.
