The volleyball teams for both Hopkinsville and Trigg County are off to fast starts in the first week of the 2012 season.
Trigg County (2-0) opened the season with a 3-0 (25-7, 25-12, 25-16) win at Webster County Tuesday. Last night, they beat Todd County Central 2-0 (25-16, 25-17).
The Lady Wildcats will get a stiff test Tuesday when they host defending region champion Caldwell County in the first round of the All-A Classic Second Region Tournament at Wildcat Gym.
Meanwhile, Hopkinsville, who only won six games last year, is off to a 3-0 start after beating Madisonville 2-0 last night. The Lady Tigers opened the season Monday with a 2-1 win over Crittenden County, and beat Russellville Tuesday.
Caldwell County opens their season tonight at at Apollo Invitational, while Christian County will open their season next week.
