Blaine Alexander scored on a penalty kick and added an assist to Ben Wigand to help Trigg County beat Paducah Tilghman 2-1 Tuesday night.
Austin Calhoun got the win in goal for the Wildcats, who are now 3-0-1 after their season-opening tie with Fort Campbell. Trigg has now won two of their three career games with the Blue Tornado.
The Wildcats return to action Monday in district action at Lyon County, who they have beaten nine of their last 10 games.
In other games Thursday, Christian County scored on a penalty shot in the final minutes that allowed them to tie St. Mary 3-3. Fort Campbell shut out Hopkins County Central 8-0. Warren Central blanked Todd County Central 3-0. Five different players scored goals for Caldwell County in their 5-0 win over Dawson Springs.
Tonight, University Heights plays at Hopkinsville and Dawson Springs visits Lyon County.
In girls' games, #12 Bowling Green shut out #24 Hopkinsville 4-0. Caldwell County beat Lyon County 5-1. St. Mary blanked Christian County 1-0. Fort Campbell beat Hopkins County Central 7-0. Owensboro Catholic beat University Heights Academy 7-2.
