Trigg County's Jeremiah Kline and Christian County's Kenneth Sells each won middle school region wrestling titles Saturday at the Region I Meet at Danville.
Kline took first place in the 96-pound class, and Sells (pictured above) won the 131-pound class.
Christian County had four wrestlers take runner-up honors. They were Caleb Austin at 103, Camerin Cole at 117, Marshawn Taylor at 165, and Tevin Toler at 230.
Also qualifying for the state meet were third place finishers Triveon Hampton (150) and Stefan Lamos (165), and fourth place finishers Kenneth Major (89) and Kobe Perry (165).
For Trigg County, Elliott Boyd took fifth place in the 150-pound class, and Devante Turner was fifth in the 70-pound class. They will be alternates for the state meet, which will be held February 5 at Montgomery County High School.
As a team, Christian County finished fourth with 123 points, while Trigg County was ninth out of the 21 teams. Union County (188.5) won the region team title.
