Trigg County takes 10th at Girls Region Golf Tournament

Trigg County's girls finished 10th at the Region I Golf Tournament Monday at Paxton Park Golf Course in Paducah.

Karli Bush had the low score for Trigg County with a 92, followed by Sierra Bush (105), Madison Chaney (110), and Lyndsey Choate (135).

Paducah Tilghman senior April Butler beat Lone Oak eighth grader Anna Hack on the first playoff hole to take medalist honors. Both shot a 73 for 18 holes.

However, Lone Oak took the team title by three shots over Tilghman.

Allison Clayton shot a 96 for Lyon County, and Aubrey Riggs had a 99.

Meanwhile, Anna Moore of University Heights Academy missed qualifying for the state tournament by three shots after shooting a 90 at the Region II Golf Tournament at Ben Hawes State Park in Owensboro.

The Boys Region I Golf Tournament gets underway today at Drake Creek Golf Course in Ledbetter. The Boys Region II Golf Tournament will be hosted by Lakeshore Country Club in Madisonville.
