University Heights Academy tied Owensboro Catholic 3-3 Monday in Hopkinsville. The Lady Aces (8-7-2) jumped out to an early lead with two goals, but Sally Morse scored off of an assist from Eden Mack to close the margin just before halftime. In the second half, after another goal by the Lady Aces, Meg Thalmann used a header to put one in the net and Alyson Parker scored on a penalty kick to tie the score in the last two minutes of the game. UHA is now 10-2-1 on the season.
In the JV game, UHA beat the Lady Aces 5-2. Sally Morse scored four goals and Connor East scored one goal for the Lady Blazers (13-1).
In other games, Caldwell County shut out Paducah Tilghman 3-0. Fort Campbell edged Todd County Central 2-1, Greenwood nipped Hopkinsville 1-0, ending the Lady Tigers' 12-game unbeaten streak.
Caldwell County beat Hopkins County Central 25-5, 25-13. Caldwell County is now 25-2 and a perfect 4-0 in district play.
The Christian County Middle School Volleyball team finished it's season last night with both 8th & 7th grade teams losing to Hopkinsville Middle School.
The 8th grade team lost to Hoptown 21-11, 19-21, 13-15. They finished the season with a record of 6-4.
The 7th grade team lost to Hoptown 21-15, 9-21, 13-15. They finished the season with a record of 1-8.
Trigg County beat Hopkins County Central 52-26. Luke McKenzie threw four touchdowns -- two to Quinton Bird. One of the TDs covered 89 yards. McKenzie had over 300 yards passing and 150 more rushing, according to TCHS assistant coach Coby Lewis. Devonte Nance had two touchdowns receiving and picked off two passes.
