Trigg County put crooked numbers on the scoreboard in the first three innings to beat Lyon County 17-2 Tuesday at the Complex in their district opener.
Trigg scored six runs in the first, four more in the second, and seven runs in the third inning.
R.J. Sholar smacked a grand slam in the third inning as part of a six RBI afternoon.
Zack Bridges had two singles and three RBIs, Jared Stallons had two singles and two RBIs, and Alex Sadler had a single and a double.
Bridges picked up the win on the mound, striking out five in four innings and walking just two.
Trigg County improved to 6-10 with the win and 1-0 in district play. The Wildcats were scheduled to play Caldwell County Thursday, but that game was cancelled because of Caldwell's advancement in the All-A Classic Tournament.
Lyon County fell to 0-5 with the loss.
