The Third and Fourth District Girls' District Soccer Championships will be played tonight. The Third District will be at Fort Campbell and the Fourth District in Marion.
In the Fourth District, Trigg County and Caldwell County meet in the title game for the second straight year. Caldwell blitzed Crittenden County 10-0 in the opener, while Trigg County slipped past Lyon County 3-2.
Caldwell County (15-2-1) beat Trigg (11-4) 4-0 back on Oct. 1 in Cadiz. Not only are the Lady Wildcats trying to win their first district title in program history, but they have never beaten Caldwell County (0-10).
Gametime tonight in Marion is 8pm.
In the third district, University Heights and Hopkinsville meet in the title game for the second straight year. UHA (12-6) beat Christian County 4-0 Wednesday night in the semifinals as Eden Mack scored twice, and Shayna Hudson and Meg Thalmann each added a goal. Layton Atwood had the shutout in goal for the Lady Blazers.
Hopkinsville earned a school record 16th win on the season Tuesday when they beat Fort Campbell 10-0. The Lady Tigers have won two straight district titles, and beat UHA 7-1 on Sept. 24.
