Tyler Mitchell of Cadiz finished tied for 34th place Thursday at the Powerbilt Kentucky Golf Open at the Club at Olde Stone near Bowling Green.
Mitchell opened play with an even par 72 in the first round but followed with an 83 in the second round to fall out of contention. He finished play Thursday with a 4-over 76, which was tied for the 19th lowest score of the day.
Mitchell finished with a score of 231, which was 20 shots behind the winner, Matt Savage of Louisville. Mitchell was tied for 16th among the amateurs in the event.
Hopkinsville's Logan Loftus shot a final round 83 and finished tied for 68th place.
